Ian is a dynamic, energetic young man who brings a lively spirit wherever he goes. His passion for skateboarding and football truly shines through in his personality and interests, making him a perfect subject for some fun and modern senior portraits. We chose the San Jose Rotunda as our backdrop, which offered a contemporary vibe that matched Ian’s active lifestyle.
Capturing Ian's Energy
From the moment we began the shoot, Ian's enthusiasm was infectious. Whether he was striking a pose or showcasing his skateboarding skills, his athleticism and charisma were evident in every shot. We had a blast exploring different angles and settings around the Rotunda, which provided a stunning architectural contrast to Ian's vibrant energy.
A Modern Twist
The San Jose Rotunda was the perfect choice for this shoot. Its sleek lines and contemporary aesthetic complemented Ian's style beautifully. We aimed to capture not just his physical attributes but also the essence of who he is—a fun-loving, adventurous spirit ready to take on the world.
A Family Tradition
It’s always a pleasure to see how each sibling brings their own unique flair to the portraits. Ian, like Lance and Lauren, has a distinct style that sets him apart, yet you can definitely see the family resemblance. Being the last of the Olsens to have his senior portraits taken feels like closing a chapter on a beautiful family tradition, and I’m honored to have been a part of each of their journeys.
Final Thoughts
Ian, you have a bright future ahead, filled with opportunities and adventures. Thank you for allowing me to capture this special milestone in your life. I can’t wait to see where your passions for skateboarding and football take you next!
Here’s to a fantastic senior year and all the amazing things that await you after graduation!

Their journey started in May 2021 when they met at a bar in Colorado Springs. Matt, a soldier stationed at Fort Carson, and Erika, a PA student visiting friends, felt an immediate connection. Despite the challenge of Matt’s deployment just a few months into their relationship, their love only deepened. Erika's unwavering support and Matt’s dedication made their bond unbreakable.
After Matt’s return and Erika’s graduation from PA school, the couple took a memorable trip to London, where Matt proposed. Now based in Oklahoma with Matt serving as a Battery Commander and Erika working as a PA, they chose Denver for their wedding to celebrate the city where their story began.
The wedding at Wedgewood Weddings in Littleton was a dream come true, combining elegance with the breathtaking beauty of Colorado. From the emotional vows to the joyous celebrations, every moment reflected their deep love and connection.
Congratulations to Erika and Matt on their beautiful wedding day. Your story is a testament to the power of love and resilience, and we’re grateful to have been a part of capturing your special moments. Here’s to a lifetime of happiness and adventure!

Preparing for Your Engagement Photo Shoot:
Choose the right time and location: Consider the time of day and location that you choose for your shoot. If you're shooting outdoors, you may want to consider the time of day when the light is soft and warm, such as early morning or late afternoon. Your photographer can advise you on the best time and location to capture beautiful images.
Get plenty of rest: Make sure you get enough sleep the night before your shoot, so you look fresh and relaxed in your photos.
Hydrate: Staying hydrated is important, especially if you're shooting outside or during the warmer months. Be sure to bring a water bottle or other hydrating beverages to your shoot.
Consider hair and makeup: If you're planning on having hair and makeup done, make sure to schedule appointments well in advance of your shoot date.
Relax and have fun: Remember that your engagement photo shoot is a fun and memorable experience. Try to relax and enjoy the moment, and your photos will reflect your happiness.
What to Wear:
Coordinate your outfits: When choosing what to wear, make sure your outfits coordinate with each other. This doesn't mean you have to match exactly, but your colors and styles should complement each other.
Dress for the location: Consider the location where you'll be shooting when choosing your outfits. If you're shooting in a park, for example, you may want to wear something casual and comfortable.
Avoid busy patterns: Avoid busy patterns or logos, as they can be distracting in photos. Instead, opt for solid colors or subtle prints.
Accessorize: Consider adding accessories such as scarves, hats, or jewelry to add interest to your outfit.
Dress for the season: Dress appropriately for the season. For example, if you're shooting in the fall, consider wearing warm layers and boots.
In conclusion, preparing for your engagement photo shoot is an important step in capturing beautiful and lasting memories. By following these tips on how to prepare and what to wear, you'll be able to relax, have fun, and enjoy the moment. Remember, the most important thing is to be yourself and let your love for each other shine through in your photos. Don't forget to stay hydrated and bring a water bottle or other hydrating beverages to your shoot, especially if you're shooting outside or during the warmer months.

Lighting: Lighting is one of the most important elements of fashion photography. Studio lighting allows you to control the direction, intensity, and color of light to create the perfect mood for your shot. Experiment with different lighting setups to find the one that works best for your model and clothing.
Background: The background of your shot is just as important as the model and clothing. Choose a background that complements the clothing and doesn't detract from the overall image. A plain colored background is a safe choice, but you can also use textured or patterned backgrounds to add interest to your shot.
Posing: Posing is crucial in fashion photography. The model's pose should be natural and comfortable, but also expressive and dynamic. Work with your model to find the right poses that showcase the clothing to its best advantage.
Props: Props can add an extra dimension to your fashion photography. Use props that complement the clothing and add interest to the shot. Be careful not to use too many props, as this can detract from the overall image.
Post-processing: Post-processing is an important step in fashion photography. Use software such as Adobe Lightroom or Photoshop to adjust the color, contrast, and brightness of your images. Remove any blemishes or unwanted elements from the shot.
Shooting fashion photography in a studio setting can be a lot of fun and allows you to create beautiful and polished images. Remember to experiment with different lighting setups, backgrounds, poses, and props to find the perfect shot. And don't forget to take advantage of post-processing to enhance your images and make them truly stand out.

As soon as I arrived at the location, I knew it was going to be an exciting shoot. The building's neoclassical architecture provided the perfect backdrop for capturing the elegance and sophistication of this couple. Cheyenne and Joey arrived shortly after, and we began exploring the area to find the best spots for their photos.
We took full advantage of the Legion of Honor's stunning architecture and iconic columns, which made for some incredible portraits of the couple. They were both a joy to work with, and their natural chemistry and love for each other made it easy to capture beautiful moments. We even managed to have some fun during the shoot, with the couple playfully posing and showing off their personalities in front of the camera.
The whole experience was a joy, and I am thrilled with the final results. The photos turned out fantastic, capturing the love and connection between Cheyenne and Joey in a fun and exciting way. The beautiful backdrop of the Legion of Honor added an extra layer of sophistication to the shoot, which perfectly reflected the couple's classy style.
I feel incredibly grateful to have been a part of this post-wedding photoshoot for Cheyenne and Joey, and I'm honored that they chose me to capture this special moment in their lives. It was a wonderful experience, and I look forward to working with more couples to capture their unique love stories at stunning locations like the Legion of Honor in San Francisco.

Preparing for a professional headshot can be a daunting task, but with a little planning and preparation, you can ensure that your final result will accurately represent you and your professional goals.
First and foremost, it is essential to choose an outfit that is consistent with your brand or professional image. Think about the type of work you do and the message you want to convey. For example, if you are a lawyer, a suit and tie would be appropriate, while a graphic designer might opt for a more casual, creative look.
When it comes to color, stick to solid, neutral hues such as black, navy, and gray. These colors tend to be the most flattering and will help keep the focus on your face, rather than your clothes. Avoid bright colors or bold patterns as they can be distracting in a headshot.
It is also important to pay attention to the details of your outfit. Make sure your clothes are clean and wrinkle-free, and your shoes are polished. Avoid bulky or distracting jewelry, and ensure your hair is well-groomed.
Before the shoot, it's a good idea to do a test run of your outfit and makeup a day or two before. This will give you the opportunity to see how you look in the camera and make any necessary adjustments.
In addition, it's a good idea to arrive at the shoot with a few different options for outfits, so you have a variety of looks to choose from. And don't forget to bring any accessories or props that you might want to use in your headshot, such as a book or a portfolio.
Finally, it's crucial to communicate with your photographer before the shoot. A professional photographer will be able to guide you through the process and help you achieve the best possible results.
Overall, preparing for a professional headshot is all about being mindful of your image and brand, and paying attention to the details. With a little planning and preparation, you can create a headshot that accurately represents you and your professional goals.

Planning a wedding can be a stressful and overwhelming process, and choosing the right vendors is an important decision that can make a big difference on your big day. Here are a few things to consider when selecting vendors for your wedding:
Experience: It's important to choose vendors who have a proven track record of success in their field. Look for vendors who have been in business for a while and have experience working at weddings.
Reputation: Do your research and read reviews from past clients to get a sense of the vendor's reputation. You can also ask for references from the vendor and reach out to those clients to get their perspective.
Style: Make sure the vendor's style aligns with your vision for your wedding. For example, if you want a rustic, outdoor wedding, you'll want to choose vendors who have experience with that type of event.
Price: It's important to have a budget in mind and choose vendors that fit within it. Don't forget to also consider any additional fees or charges that may not be included in the initial quote.
Communication: Good communication is key to ensuring a successful event. Choose vendors who are responsive and easy to work with.
Availability: Make sure the vendor is available on your wedding date before signing any contracts.
Flexibility: Things don't always go according to plan, so it's important to choose vendors who are flexible and able to adapt to changing circumstances.
By considering these factors, you can ensure that you choose the best vendors for your special day.
]]>
Choose a venue: San Jose has a variety of beautiful wedding venues to choose from, including gardens, vineyards, and historic mansions. Consider what type of setting you envision for your wedding and start researching venues that match your style.
Book your vendors: Once you have a venue, start booking your other vendors, such as a photographer, videographer, florist, and DJ. San Jose has a range of talented wedding professionals to choose from, so take the time to research and interview multiple options to find the best fit for you.
Plan your transportation: Depending on your venue and wedding size, you may need to arrange transportation for you and your guests. Consider hiring a shuttle service or rental cars to ensure that everyone gets to and from the wedding safely.
Consider the weather: San Jose can be quite warm during the summer months, so if you're planning a outdoor wedding, make sure to have plenty of water and shade available for your guests. If you're getting married during the cooler months, make sure to have blankets and heaters on hand in case it gets chilly.
Take care of the legalities: Don't forget to obtain a marriage license and make sure that your ceremony is officiated by someone who is authorized to perform weddings in California.
Plan your rehearsal dinner: The rehearsal dinner is a great opportunity to gather with your wedding party and close family members to celebrate and relax before the big day. Consider booking a restaurant or hosting the event at a private venue.
Have a backup plan: It's always a good idea to have a backup plan in case of unforeseen circumstances, such as bad weather. Consider what you would do if your outdoor wedding had to be moved indoors, or if you had to adjust your timeline due to unexpected delays.
Consider hiring a wedding planner: Planning a wedding can be a huge undertaking, especially if you're trying to do it all yourself. Consider hiring a wedding planner to help you with the logistics and ensure that everything runs smoothly on the big day.
Don't be afraid to ask for help: Planning a wedding is a big job, and it's okay to ask for help from friends and family. Delegate tasks to those who are willing to pitch in, and don't be afraid to ask for advice from those who have been through the process before.
Relax and enjoy: Finally, try to relax and enjoy the process of planning your wedding. It can be stressful at times, but it's important to take time for yourself and remember what the day is really about – celebrating your love and commitment to each other.

Theme: Industrial/Urban
Here we brought Lance to do a senior portrait in downtown Palo Alto to do some industrial shots for his portfolio. The lighting in the alley worked really well in our favor and we had set a few shots with him as the sun went down. We wanted something that coincides with his personality and this setup worked really well for him.

Theme: Lakeside/Garden
Here we are celebrating Isabelle's graduation photos along the Rengstorff House in Mountain View. She wanted a lakeside and garden themed session. We highlighted her outfit, diploma, and her personality. Congratulations again on your graduation and we wish you the best in your college years!

Theme: Urban/Industrial and Garden
Colton's senior portrait session was in downtown Palo Alto. Here we kept it with an urban scene at a common garage area. We also went to a local park nearby to get a slightly different scene and theme for Colton, giving him both formal and informal outfits.

Theme: Woods, Beach, Bohemian
Ally and her parents wanted a theme that had a boho feel to it. We went to the beaches and woods in Half Moon Bay and captured a few shots both inland and along the shore. Here are a few shots from that session.

Violeta and I felt privileged to capture such a gorgeous wedding from this couple. Nick's parents once served in the ministry in Hawaii and brought a taste of Aloha to their ceremony. His dad Brock helped officiate the wedding and at the same time captured an intimate selfie with them right before the wedding started.
In the evening, all their friends and family celebrated with great enthusiasm and danced the night away. The sharing from their siblings and parents was warm and heartfelt. Truly, their wedding was filled with so much love and joy from everyone that was there. This is the story of their wedding.

Now on their wedding day, they got married at the History Club of Los Gatos. The weather really worked for them considering it was a February wedding. The days prior to that were rain and chilly weather. Fortunately it was a sunny day when they got married. Jessica walked down the aisle as radiant as she could be. They did a 3 cord strand to show that God, him, and Jessica are bound together in their marriage. Ken almost dropped the ring as he was about to put it on Jessica's finger. Luckily, with his quick reflexes, he was able to capture it before it fell.
We went to a nearby park to do some shots with his groomsmen and bridesmaids to get a more rustic feel for their photos. One of my favorite shots was with his groomsmen doing a dragon ball Z pose, which he took a step further from his "fusion" pose during his engagement. In the end, their vows, relationship, and the people that surrounded them that day made it a memorable and beautiful wedding. Congratulations Jessica & Ken! It was a beautiful wedding and we wish you the best on your marriage!

They had a beautiful wedding ceremony that day. When they shared their vows to one another, I could tell how much they cared and loved each other. It was like an event long in the making! Everyone cheered and had a great time. John even performed for Zoe that night with the band with his singing. In the end, it was a memorable experience for their friends and family. We hope these photos will remind you of their joy and happiness they shared that day.

The lovely couple love the outdoors and have the utmost respect for Mother Nature. They also wanted their wedding to be intimate and to be shared only with very special people in their lives.
It was fitting that they chose The Island Farm, a private venue in San Gregorio, CA. The place was a 564 acres of land filled with very old and tall redwood trees. It was so magical that you'll feel like you were in a Fairy Tale witnessing a princess getting married to her prince. What an amazing place to be married in for this Bohemian couple!
Love was definitely evident in this wedding. Not just from the couple but from each person that was there. There were lots of dancing until the sun came down. Everyone was so grateful to be celebrating this wonderful union!
Congratulations and best wishes, Adam and Denise! May you live happily ever after!

These 2 lovebirds have known each other since they were teenagers and they are the funnest couple you'll ever meet.
Anthony and Arlene celebrated their 20 years anniversary so this was their 2nd Vow Renewal. What better way to have it in the beautiful island of Oahu? Their 3 children, families and friends traveled from California to be a part and witness this amazing event.
The beach ceremony was held at Paradise Cove in Ko'Olina. They, together with their 3 children, danced to a custom made song "You and I Are One". Anthony and Arlene took some dance lessons and we got to watch them exit the ceremony dancing to a medley.
After the Ceremony, the guests got to eat dessert first and enjoyed a delicious chocolate cake. We all walked to the Luau to enjoy a great feast and an amazing, jaw-dropping entertainment.
The wedding ended with a gorgeous sunset! What a fun couple to photograph. Most of all, what love they have for each other! These two have been an awesome example for us of what marriage is all about which is having God in the center of it all!

The venue was very elegant and glamorous. I really love the glass walkway between the hotel which gave us a lot of beautiful photo opportunities for Nathan and Cristy. I wanted to capture their personality being in their natural element. Both of them have a fun element to their side where doing candid shots was the way to go. We set out to the fountains outside the hotel to get some shots with water. However it was a very crowded place. Someone even started to take a bath in the fountain as we were about to do the shoot (talk about timing). But that didn't deter both of them from having a great time while being out there.
In the end it was great to see them start their marriage with a lot of love, laughter, and joy. Congratulations to the two of you! May you continue to grow in your love for one another in the years to come!

Alphonso and Heather were just so wonderful to work with. They are very down to earth but most of all, they are crazy in love with each other and very grateful that this day has finally come.
In every wedding that we photograph, we learn something to apply to our own marriage. As we were photographing Alphonso, he just kept on saying, "I'm lucky". And you definitely felt his gratitude as he
couldn't hold back his tears as he watched his stunning bride walked down the aisle in a strapless white gown. Her beautiful eyes mesmerized through her blusher veil.
The wedding was surrounded by friends and family. Many traveled all the way from Taiwan. Lots of laughter and tears of joy were present in this wedding.
Thank you for the privilege of capturing your special day! May your love for each other just get deeper as each years pass and no matter what life brings you.
Congratulations and best wishes!
Devin and Kristi are amazing people individually but even more amazing together. They are opposite and yet compliment each other. Devin is emotionally expressive, will give the shirt off his back to someone in need and a big teddy bear. Kristi on the other hand is thoughtful, kind, giving, intelligent and competitive.
On the morning of the proposal, Devin did not have the ring yet. So, he prayed. If the ring didn't come, Devin was to wait another month to propose. His prayers were answered as the ring came in the mail that morning! Whew!
Meanwhile, Kristi thought that she was planning a birthday party for her dad but she was actually planning for her own engagement party. Sensing her stress, Devin picked her up to drive to the hill where he was going to pop the question. Kristi didn't realize it at first but it finally clicked when she saw the chairs and table with purple roses (her favorite). There, Devin read her a poem he wrote, knelt down on one knee and ask her to be his wife!
On the wedding day, all their closest friends were there to celebrate with them. It was a packed place and to see Devin and Kristi do their first kiss was quite touching. Both have grown in their relationship, not only with each other but also the other people they've impacted with their lives.
Thank you Devin & Kristi for allowing us to capture your special day. We wish you many years of happiness in your marriage!

]]>We've never met a more in love couple than Rich and Sarah. They first met in High school and they were immediately attracted to each other. A lot of things happened in between. Rich moved to a couple of different states and then back to California. They both dated different people.
"I rarely prayed but I remember praying in tears asking God to send him back my way." (Sarah)
It wasn't until years later that Rich visited Sarah at work. It was clear they were both still attracted to each other. The flame reignited and spent everyday since.
"No one had loved me more and I kept picturing us old and wrinkly, falling apart together. I knew marriage isn’t easy but he’s the only one I want to fight for, probably because he’s the only one who really fought for me." (Sarah)
Nestldown was one of Sarah's favorite places. She has gone there a few times growing up so it always had a special place in her heart.
When Rich proposed, she knew exactly where she would like the wedding to be held. The wedding was beautiful with a rustic theme and we couldn't have asked for a better weather. What made this wedding is their pure love for each other and their families.
Rich and Sarah, thank you so much for teaching us to love deeply, to kiss and to kiss often, to hold each other's hand every chance we get, to look for each other in the crowd and to dance like no one is watching!
Here's to the journey you will walk together and to the beautiful music you will write and play together!
]]>Adelaide is an opinionated, caring, shy (sometimes), easily excited about science, and thinks of others before herself.
Alex is a shy, loyal, patient, kind, funny guy, and gets excited about food and cooking.
They both love cats, certain Chinese food, sushi, and science.
Their story goes way back when a mutual friend of theirs set them up on their first date. When they first met, Alex thought that Adelaide looked like a "goth" and her hair had pink tips on the end. Though he thought she was cute and smart, he wasn't digging the hair. For Adelaide, she thought Alex was talented, easy to talk to, and had a very nice smile. He looked like a total nerd and she really liked that in him.
Alex knew she was the one shortly after their first dating anniversary. He was thinking how much Adelaide is stronger in areas that he is weak in. After praying about it, he came to a decision that she was "the one" for him. For Adelaide it was a couple weeks after their first date. They were part of an Iron Chef competition and she saw how Alex was sweet and supportive towards her during that event. She thought to herself, "This is a guy who I can marry!"
Alex was so nervous when he was going to propose to Adelaide. Thankfully, his friend Tyrone helped him out with all the details. He was planning to ask her in Half Moon Bay. On their way there, she wanted to get some Starbucks which Alex thought would delay everything. So they rushed down the beach when they got to the area. He was praying so fast because he was nervous. However as soon as he knelt on his knee, time stood still and everything just worked out.
From Adelaide's perspective, she thought they were going to double with their friend Christine and Tyrone. When they got to the beach she noticed some towels and flowers on a rock but thought it was for someone else. Little that she knew that those were for them. When Adelaide noticed the flowers and Eeyore on the towels, then she knew that something was going to happen. She kept saying to herself "I can't believe this is it!" Alex read her a really sweet card. Then hearing the music in the background, she started to tear up. He got down on his knee and I said "Yes, of course!" After which she didn't remember the rest.
Their wedding took place in the Ritz Carlton, Half Moon Bay. It was a luxurious location overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Alex & Addy had a large wedding party composed of 8 couples.
In the end, Violeta and I captured everything we thought fit best for Alex & Addy. Here are a few highlights from that day. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. Enjoy!

They first met at work at a small scientific camera operation where her father introduced David to Margo. She recalled that when they first shook hands, she felt an electric shock travel through her. "How would you describe David?" I asked Margo. "I thought he was extremely handsome, cheerful, and a force to be reckoned with." She had an instant connection with him.
David proposed to Margo at their friends home in Tiburon among friends. It totally caught Margo off guard and it was the biggest surprise of her life. Margo saw the most beautiful ring in David's hand and she lost her voice, but managed to say "Yes!" It was like a dream come true for her as they shared that special moment with their good friends.
With that they shared the most beautiful wedding on June 29, 2013. Despite it being a very hot day, it brought out a lot of joy and happiness to the couple and their friends. We could see San Francisco 45 miles away. It was that clear. They had an amazing band perform called "Pure Ecstasy" by Preston Turner. I have to say - they really rocked the house! Everyone had a great time during the dances, cake cutting, and bouquet toss. The amazing flowers were done by Twig & Petals. That day we also experienced an amazing sunset by the vineyard and we tried to capture that in their wedding. Here are a few highlights from that day that Violeta and I photographed for their story.

Elim Lutheran Church where the ceremony was held had a very place in Ben's heart. Both his grandparents and parents were married there. He knew that when it was time for him to get married, that is where he was going to say his vows.
The red barn also had a significant meaning. Ben spent a lot of his childhood there visiting his grandmother and families.
It was very special to witness the "first look". When they saw each at each other, they couldn't help but cry. You could just feel the love and the gratitude they have for each other.
The reception was fun and was filled with laughter and joy as they danced the night away to Ring of Fire and Dancing Queen.
Here's to the new memories Ben and Barbara will make together and to the journey they will travel together!
It was a pleasure to photograph their wedding. Here are a few pictures we captured from that day.

I asked, how did you know Jeff was "The One?"
"I’m not sure there was a definitive moment but it was within the first few months. When I had to go out of state for a clinical rotation in Montana, it was definitely the point where both of us knew together that we wanted to be together for good."
How did Jeff propose?
"Jeff, being so tall, was grabbing something off the floor behind the tv, stood up and hit his head on a shelf. I told him to sit down while I took the dog out for a walk. When I came back he had a bunch of candles lit, and was down on one knee. He then reenacted it exactly one year later (minus the concussion)."
And that day finally happened when they tied the knot on May 26, 2013 in Bird Rock near Pebble Beach. We all took the trolley that transported the wedding party from Carmel Valley to the ceremony site. Krissy's brother, Andrew, was playing the ukulele as guests were coming into the ceremony. What was also unique about their wedding was they took turns exchanging their personal vows to each other. That moment was precious.
Krissy has a shy personality, but once she gets to know you she can get lively. On one side she is introverted, creative, and artistic - and on the other a very passionate rugby player. She created most of the detail pieces for their wedding. Jeff is a tall guy with a big, warm heart. I can see why he's so likable and that they were a match made for each other.
Now they are starting a new life here in California as they moved away from Colorado. Here are a few photo highlights from their wedding day that showcased their love for each other. Enjoy!

One of my favorite families to photograph. Every year we try to think of different locations to capture their special time together. This year we went to Mountain Winery to combine architecture and the fall colors. We lucked out as the sun shone through the sky despite the rainy forecast. I didn't know a lot of wineries existed in the south bay thinking that most of them would be in the Napa or Sonoma area. However I was proved wrong when I found this location for them. This place hosts concerts and bands during the summer season. In the fall the amphitheater is open to the public so we were free to walk around the grounds without any issue. Towards the end, we all had a great time and experience. They had one of their photos mounted in a gallery canvas which captured the memory they experienced that day.
